Opticis USA understands the importance of protecting personal data.  The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform how we process your personal data and to advise you to check this Privacy Policy regularly. This policy does not form any contractual relationship between you and us.  Any major changes with be notified via our website.

We collect your personal data in three ways:

i) Information provided by you

  • contacting us via the contact form

  • filling in a form on our website

  • creating an account on optolinks.com

  • requesting content or software (I.E. brochures or drivers)

  • signing up for email communications

  • participating in a survey

  • ordering a product online

  • requesting a product inquiry/RFQ online

  • Requesting for a product sample

  • logging a ticket for technical questions (“eSupport”)

  • asking for service support

  • applying for our certified training program

  • registering our product(s)

  • activating license entitlement(s) for our products

  • registering for an event or webinar

The data collected here are usually the following:  first name, last name, e-mail address, telephone number, address details (street, number, postcode, city, country), the project or the region in which you are interested, your position, your correspondence with Opticis USA, your partner types, your market and application segments and other personal and/ or contact details.

ii) Automatically obtained information

When you browse our website, we receive data from cookie providers about your activity on our website such as the time and duration of your visit, the hyperlinks that you clicked which brought you to our website and the hyperlinks on our website which link to other websites, your IP address, the pages you visit, the browser you use, geographical data such as your location and your preferred language.

We do this by using cookies.   • to manage, develop and improve our product range, services, stores, information technology systems and websites.

  • for monitoring and assessing compliance with law and our policies and standards.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Rights

The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) provides California consumers with specific rights regarding their personal Information (“PI”) If you are a California resident, in addition to section 10, you have the right, under the CCPA, to request:

  • To disclose followings regarding your PI collected in the past 12 months. You can request your information twice in a 12-month period.

    • The categories of PI it has collected about that consumer.

    • The categories of sources from which the PI is collected.

    • The business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling PI.

    • The categories of third parties with whom the business shares PI.

    • The specific pieces of PI it has collected about that consumer.

  • To delete your PI we collected unless we need to keep it for certain reasons. For example, we need your PI to perform a contract between you and us, to comply with our legal obligations and to detect security incidents and protect against illegal activity.

We will not discriminate against a California consumer for exercising any rights under the CCPA.

When you exercise your privacy rights and make a CCPA request. W, we will first confirm that you are a California consumer and authenticate your identity according to the requirement of CCPA. At this confirmation, we may request for additional information for verification purposes via email or regular mail, at your preference. If an authorized agent is being utilized for a request under the CCPA, we will require proof of its authority and the identity verification about whom the request is being made.
